GHRH Peptides

Meaning

GHRH Peptides are synthetic analogs of the naturally occurring Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone, a hypothalamic neurohormone that serves as the primary secretagogue for pituitary growth hormone (GH) release. These therapeutic peptides are designed to bind to and activate the Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone Receptor (GHRHR) on somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary gland. Their clinical purpose is to stimulate the pituitary to produce and release endogenous GH in a pulsatile, physiological manner, thereby promoting tissue repair, metabolic function, and improved body composition.
