GHRH Modulation

Meaning

The physiological or pharmacological manipulation of the activity of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH), a hypothalamic peptide that stimulates the synthesis and secretion of Growth Hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland. Modulation involves either enhancing GHRH signaling to boost GH production or inhibiting it to suppress GH release. This is a targeted approach to managing somatotropic axis function.
