GHRH GHRP

Meaning

GHRH GHRP refers to the combined action and therapeutic strategy utilizing Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH) and Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptides (GHRPs). GHRH is a hypothalamic peptide that stimulates the pituitary to release growth hormone (GH) in a pulsatile manner. GHRPs, conversely, are synthetic secretagogues that act via the ghrelin receptor to amplify the pituitary’s GH release, independent of the GHRH receptor. The strategic co-administration of these two classes of agents leverages their synergistic effects to maximize the natural, pulsatile secretion of endogenous GH.
