GHRH Analog Peptides

Meaning

GHRH Analog Peptides are synthetic compounds structurally similar to the naturally occurring Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH), designed to bind to and activate the GHRH receptor in the anterior pituitary gland. These secretagogues stimulate the pulsatile release of endogenous Growth Hormone (GH), offering a more physiological method of increasing GH and its downstream mediator, Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1), compared to exogenous GH administration. They are utilized clinically to address age-related decline in the somatotropic axis.
