Genomic stability pathways are the integrated network of cellular processes responsible for maintaining the integrity and accurate replication of the organism’s DNA. These pathways include DNA damage repair mechanisms, checkpoint controls that pause the cell cycle to allow for repair, and processes preventing telomere attrition.
