Genetic Modulators

Meaning

Genetic Modulators are any endogenous or exogenous factors that specifically influence the expression, activity, or function of a particular gene or its protein product within a cell. These agents can act to upregulate or suppress gene transcription, modify messenger RNA stability, or alter the post-translational processing of proteins. In hormonal health, they are of interest for their potential to therapeutically correct or optimize the expression of hormone receptors or metabolic enzymes.
