Functional Output Metrics

Meaning

Functional Output Metrics are quantitative, objective measures specifically utilized to assess the tangible, real-world performance and functional capacity of complex biological systems, particularly in the context of hormonal health and aging. Unlike static biochemical markers, these metrics dynamically evaluate integrated system performance, such as an individual’s grip strength, cognitive processing speed, maximal oxygen uptake (VO2 max), or objective sleep efficiency. They provide a direct, clinically relevant, and actionable measure of the body’s overall vitality and functional reserve capacity.
