Full-Spectrum Light Therapy

Meaning

Full-Spectrum Light Therapy is a clinical intervention involving controlled exposure to light that intentionally mimics the entire visible spectrum and often includes portions of the non-visible (ultraviolet and infrared) electromagnetic spectrum of natural sunlight. This therapeutic modality is fundamentally distinct from the use of monochromatic or narrow-band light sources. It is strategically utilized to positively influence mood regulation, precisely regulate circadian rhythms, and optimize the overall function of the neuroendocrine system.
