Freeze-All Cycle

Meaning

A Freeze-All Cycle, within the domain of assisted reproductive technology (ART), is a specific clinical strategy where all mature oocytes or resulting embryos from a controlled ovarian stimulation are intentionally cryopreserved (frozen) rather than being used for an immediate fresh embryo transfer. This decision is made to optimize the chances of a successful pregnancy by allowing the maternal endocrine environment, which is altered by the stimulation drugs, to normalize before transfer. It is a calculated, two-stage approach designed to prioritize patient safety and endometrial receptivity.
