Fibroblast Proliferation Rate

Meaning

The speed at which fibroblasts, the primary cells responsible for synthesizing the extracellular matrix and collagen, multiply and increase their numbers within a given tissue. A high proliferation rate is indicative of active tissue remodeling, rapid wound healing, and robust dermal health, particularly in the skin. This metric is a key determinant of the body’s regenerative potential.
