Fertility Impairment

Meaning

Fertility impairment refers to a diminished capacity to achieve a successful pregnancy, defined clinically as the inability to conceive after twelve months or more of regular, unprotected sexual intercourse, or six months if the female partner is over the age of 35. This condition is a complex clinical diagnosis that can stem from various endocrine, anatomical, or genetic factors affecting either the male or female reproductive system. A thorough endocrinological evaluation is often necessary to identify the underlying hormonal dysregulation.
