Fertility Hormones

Meaning

Fertility hormones are a class of endogenous chemical messengers, primarily steroids and peptides, that critically regulate the human reproductive system. These biochemical signals orchestrate the complex processes of gamete production, sexual maturation, menstrual cycling, and the establishment and maintenance of pregnancy. Key examples include Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Estrogen, Progesterone, and Testosterone, each playing a specific role in reproductive physiology.
