Fat Loss Hormones

Meaning

“Fat loss hormones” refers to a collective group of endogenous signaling molecules that modulate adipocyte metabolism, primarily promoting lipolysis and inhibiting lipogenesis, thereby influencing the reduction of body fat mass. This includes, but is not limited to, glucagon, catecholamines such as epinephrine and norepinephrine, growth hormone, and the active thyroid hormones, triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4).
