Exogenous Hypogonadism

Meaning

Exogenous Hypogonadism describes a state of diminished gonadal function, specifically reduced production of endogenous sex hormones like testosterone or estrogen, which is directly caused by the administration of external, or exogenous, hormones or substances. This condition represents a form of secondary hypogonadism where the primary cause originates from outside the body’s natural regulatory mechanisms.
