Euploid Embryo

Meaning

A Euploid Embryo is an embryo that possesses the correct, complete number of chromosomes, specifically 46 chromosomes in humans, consisting of 22 pairs of autosomes and one pair of sex chromosomes. Chromosomal normalcy, or euploidy, is the single most significant factor dictating the developmental potential of an embryo. In the context of in vitro fertilization, euploid embryos identified via preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A) are associated with the highest rates of successful implantation and live birth.
