Eubiosis

Meaning

Eubiosis describes the state of optimal balance and functional diversity within the microbial community, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract, which is necessary for host health. This harmonious microbial ecosystem is characterized by a predominance of beneficial microorganisms and appropriate species richness, contributing positively to metabolic, immune, and endocrine signaling. A sustained state of eubiosis is increasingly recognized as a foundational pillar of hormonal wellness and longevity. Disruption of this balance is known as dysbiosis.
