Estradiol Suppression Management

Meaning

The clinical strategy of monitoring and regulating excessively low levels of the potent estrogen, estradiol (E2), particularly in males undergoing Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) or in post-menopausal females with symptoms of estrogen deficiency. Effective management aims to prevent the adverse consequences of E2 suppression, such as decreased bone mineral density, joint discomfort, and compromised cardiovascular health. This is a delicate balancing act to maintain optimal hormonal ratios.
