ESR1 Polymorphisms

Meaning

ESR1 Polymorphisms refer to common variations in the DNA sequence of the Estrogen Receptor 1 gene, also known as ER-alpha. These genetic alterations, often single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), represent differences in the precise genetic code that can influence the receptor’s structure, function, or expression levels. Such variations are a normal part of human genetic diversity, occurring in more than one percent of the population.
