EndoPAT

Meaning

EndoPAT is a non-invasive, diagnostic medical device used in clinical settings to assess endothelial function, a key indicator of overall cardiovascular health. The test measures the Peripheral Arterial Tonometry (PAT) signal, which reflects the dilation capacity of the small arteries and arterioles in response to reactive hyperemia. A reduced PAT response indicates endothelial dysfunction, often a precursor to atherosclerosis and major adverse cardiovascular events in individuals with hormonal imbalances.
