Endocrine Function

Meaning

Endocrine Function refers to the integrated physiological processes by which endocrine glands synthesize, secrete, and regulate circulating hormones to maintain systemic homeostasis and coordinate complex physiological responses. Optimal function requires accurate feedback loops, appropriate receptor expression, and efficient hormone clearance mechanisms. Impairment in this function leads to hypo- or hyper-secretion syndromes affecting metabolism, reproduction, and stress adaptation. We view this as the core regulatory system of internal milieu control.
