Endocrine Decoupling

Meaning

Endocrine Decoupling describes a state where the normally tightly coordinated feedback loops and hierarchical signaling between different glands within the endocrine system become desynchronized or functionally disconnected. This pathological state can lead to inappropriate or blunted hormonal responses, resulting in systemic dysregulation, often seen in chronic stress or disease states. The clinical goal is to restore the harmonious, coupled function of the endocrine axis.
