Dynamic Monitoring

Meaning

Dynamic monitoring is a clinical and physiological assessment technique that involves the continuous or frequent serial measurement of biological parameters to capture their fluctuations and real-time responses to stimuli, meals, or therapeutic interventions. Unlike static, single-point blood draws, this method provides a detailed, time-resolved profile of a physiological system’s function and adaptive capacity. It is particularly valuable in endocrinology for accurately assessing the pulsatile secretion of hormones and the subtle changes in metabolic control.
