DURATION-1 Study

Meaning

The DURATION-1 Study was a pivotal phase 3 clinical trial designed to assess the efficacy and safety of exenatide administered once weekly compared to exenatide given twice daily in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This investigation aimed to determine if a less frequent dosing regimen could provide comparable or superior glycemic control and tolerability over an extended period. The findings from this study significantly contributed to the understanding of long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists.
