Drug Traceability

Meaning

Drug Traceability represents the systematic capability to track and verify the complete history and location of a pharmaceutical product, from the initial sourcing of its active ingredients through to its final dispensing to the patient. This process creates a transparent, verifiable record of a medication’s journey through the entire supply chain. Traceability is a foundational safety measure, providing the means to quickly identify and isolate counterfeit, substandard, or compromised hormonal products. It ensures the integrity of the therapeutic agent being administered.
