DNA Expression

Meaning

DNA Expression, also known as gene expression, is the fundamental biological process by which the information encoded in a gene’s DNA sequence is converted into a functional product, typically a protein or a functional RNA molecule. This mechanism is the cornerstone of cellular differentiation and function, dictating which proteins are produced, in what quantity, and when, thereby governing all physiological characteristics and responses. Hormonal signaling profoundly influences DNA expression by acting as transcriptional regulators.
