Cyclic Therapy

Meaning

Cyclic Therapy is a clinical approach to hormone replacement or modulation where a specific hormone is administered in a pattern that mimics the natural, fluctuating rhythm of a physiological cycle, most commonly the female menstrual cycle. This method contrasts with continuous, non-stop dosing and is primarily used in women to restore hormonal balance, manage perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms, or treat conditions related to anovulation. The goal is to provide the therapeutic benefits of the hormone while avoiding potential side effects associated with constant stimulation of target tissues, such as the endometrium.
