Cottonseed Oil

Meaning

Cottonseed oil is a vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the cotton plant, primarily composed of triglycerides. Its fatty acid profile typically includes a balance of unsaturated fatty acids, such as linoleic and oleic acids, alongside saturated fatty acids like palmitic and stearic acids. This oil also naturally contains tocopherols, which are a form of Vitamin E, and a unique natural pigment known as gossypol, the concentration of which varies significantly based on the degree of refining.
