Circulating Microparticles

Meaning

Circulating Microparticles are small membrane vesicles, typically ranging from 0.1 to 1.0 micrometers in diameter, released from the plasma membrane of various cells following activation or apoptosis. These vesicles carry proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids derived from their parent cells, providing an indication of the cellular origin’s physiological condition.
