Chronological Progression

Meaning

The simple, linear passage of time measured in years, months, and days from an individual’s birth, serving as the standard, non-physiological reference point for age. It is the objective, calendar-based metric against which all biological aging phenomena, including the gradual decline in endocrine function and cellular senescence, are clinically compared. This progression provides the baseline expectation for physiological changes, though it often diverges significantly from the individual’s actual biological age.
