Certificate Pinning

Meaning

Certificate Pinning refers to a security practice where a system, when interacting with an external entity, rigidly expects a specific, pre-determined digital identity or “certificate” from that entity. It establishes a fixed, trusted connection, preventing imposters from masquerading as legitimate sources, much like the body’s immune system recognizes and binds only to specific, known antigens to prevent pathogenic infiltration.
