Cardiovascular Morbidity

Meaning

Cardiovascular Morbidity refers to the state of being diseased or unhealthy due to conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels, encompassing a range of non-fatal and debilitating events. These conditions include coronary artery disease, stroke, heart failure, and peripheral artery disease, all of which significantly impair an individual’s quality of life and functional independence. In hormonal health, this term is crucial because endocrine imbalances, such as hypo- or hyperthyroidism and sex hormone deficiencies, are known modulators of cardiovascular risk factors.
