Cardiac Repair

Meaning

Cardiac repair refers to the complex physiological processes by which the heart responds to injury, aiming to restore structural integrity and functional capacity following damage such as myocardial infarction or chronic stress. This involves a coordinated sequence of cellular and molecular events, including inflammation, cell death, scar tissue formation, and in some instances, limited regeneration of myocardial tissue to maintain circulatory efficiency.
