Brainwave Calibration

Meaning

Brainwave Calibration refers to the process of quantitatively assessing and then intentionally modulating the electrical activity of the brain, as measured by electroencephalography (EEG), to achieve an optimal state of neurological and, by extension, hormonal function. This technique is utilized to balance the relative power of different brainwave frequencies—Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma—which are intrinsically linked to states of arousal, focus, relaxation, and sleep. Optimizing brainwave patterns can significantly influence the hypothalamic-pituitary axis (HPA) and the overall endocrine system.
