Blue Light Filters

Meaning

Blue Light Filters are optical technologies designed to attenuate or block electromagnetic radiation within the high-energy visible (HEV) spectrum, typically between 400 and 500 nanometers, emitted from digital screens. From a hormonal perspective, this attenuation is critical because exposure to short-wavelength light, especially at night, directly impacts the circadian rhythm. We recognize this as a key modulator of nocturnal melatonin secretion.
