Bisphenols

Meaning

Bisphenols are a class of industrial chemicals, most notably Bisphenol A (BPA), widely used in the production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. These compounds are classified as endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) because they can interfere with the body’s hormonal systems, even at very low exposure levels. Their presence in everyday consumer products poses a recognized environmental and human health concern within the hormonal wellness space.
