Biological Equilibrium

Meaning

Biological Equilibrium, also known as homeostasis, represents the dynamic state of balance and stability within the body’s internal environment necessary for survival and optimal function. This is not a static state but rather a continuous process of adjustment and compensation across numerous physiological parameters, including pH, temperature, fluid volume, and hormone concentrations. The body’s ability to rapidly and effectively restore equilibrium following a disturbance is a direct measure of its resilience and healthspan. Loss of this equilibrium is the basis of most chronic diseases.
