Bioenergetic Decay

Meaning

Bioenergetic Decay describes the progressive and measurable decline in the efficiency and overall capacity of cellular energy production, a process that occurs predominantly within the mitochondria. This measurable reduction in Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) output leads to a diminished functional reserve across all major organ systems, manifesting clinically as chronic fatigue, significantly reduced hormonal synthesis capacity, and a marked slowdown in cellular repair and regeneration. It is a fundamental process underlying age-related functional decline and many chronic fatigue syndromes.
