Bio-Modulators

Meaning

Bio-Modulators are a class of agents, which can be endogenous or exogenous, designed to therapeutically adjust specific biological responses or pathways within the human system. These compounds operate by influencing cell signaling, enzyme activity, or receptor binding to restore physiological balance. In the clinical setting, they are employed to gently steer dysregulated hormonal axes or inflammatory cascades back toward a state of homeostasis. They are distinct from direct replacement therapies because their function is regulatory rather than purely augmentative.
