Antifragility Systems

Meaning

Antifragility Systems describe biological structures and processes that not only resist damage from stressors (robustness) but fundamentally improve, strengthen, or benefit from exposure to a moderate degree of variability, volatility, or controlled challenge. This concept defines the capacity of adaptive physiological mechanisms, such as the immune and endocrine systems, to achieve a superior functional state after recovering from a necessary disruption. The goal is to cultivate a resilient physiological state that thrives on moderate systemic challenge rather than merely enduring it.
