Anti-Senescence Molecules

Meaning

A class of pharmacological or naturally occurring compounds designed to target and mitigate the process of cellular senescence, which is the irreversible arrest of cell proliferation associated with aging. These molecules aim to either selectively eliminate senescent cells (senolytics) or modify their detrimental secretory phenotype (senomorphics). They represent a key focus in longevity and anti-aging research to improve healthspan.
