Andropause Symptoms and Treatment

Meaning

Andropause refers to the collection of clinical symptoms associated with the age-related decline in circulating androgen levels, primarily testosterone, in men. This condition is more accurately termed Late-Onset Hypogonadism (LOH) or Age-Related Testosterone Deficiency. Symptoms encompass a spectrum of physiological and psychological changes, including decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, reduced muscle mass, increased visceral fat, mood disturbances, and diminished vitality. The severity of these symptoms is highly variable among individuals and directly correlates with the degree of hormonal imbalance.
