Androgenic System

Meaning

The Androgenic System encompasses the network of endocrine glands and cellular machinery responsible for producing, transporting, and responding to androgens, the primary of which is testosterone. This system is fundamental to sexual differentiation, development of secondary sex characteristics, and maintenance of metabolic homeostasis across the lifespan. Disruptions in this system can manifest as imbalances affecting mood, body composition, and reproductive function. We view this system as a critical regulator of anabolic processes and libido.
