AIMP1, or Aminoacyl-tRNA Synthetase Complex-Interacting Multifunctional Protein 1, is a secreted protein with diverse biological functions extending beyond its primary intracellular role. It is recognized as a cytokine, also known as EMAP II or p43, influencing processes such as inflammation, angiogenesis, and cell differentiation, thus participating in both physiological and pathological states within the human body.
