Adrenal Resilience

Meaning

Adrenal Resilience refers to the functional capacity of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal (HPA) axis to maintain optimal hormonal output and adaptive responses despite persistent or intense physiological and psychological stressors. It is a clinical concept emphasizing the ability of the adrenal glands to effectively modulate cortisol release and return to a baseline state quickly after a stressor is removed. High adrenal resilience is associated with robust energy, stable mood, and sustained vitality. Low resilience, conversely, may lead to dysregulation and a cascade of systemic health issues.
